Hey, I know I haven't posted in forever, but I need some advice. Does anyone know what the best way is to complain about the editing of a book? Is there a chance that emailing the publisher will do any good or will it simply be ignored? I know it's a bit silly, but the book I'm reading at the moment contains mistakes that I'd dismiss a beta for, how is it possible that a professional editor gets away with such a sloppy job? All the more recent books of this author have had this problem and I was able to ignore it so far, but finding someone "slinging his arm around his companions waste" in a published novel was just too much. Do you think there is a chance that a complaint will do any good? (If not for this book then at least for future ones.) Or am I overreacting completely here? Current Mood: annoyed
